Questions
Is it free to convert spreadsheets to PDF?
Yes. No sign-up and no watermark. The free plan converts up to 10 files a day; Pro removes the limit.
Do you upload my files?
No. LibreOffice, the open-source office suite, runs inside your browser as WebAssembly, so your file is read and converted on your device. The only download is the engine itself, the first time you use it.
Why is the first conversion slower?
The Office engine is a full copy of LibreOffice, about 80 MB. Your browser downloads it once and keeps it, so later conversions start in a few seconds.
Does it work on my phone?
It works in recent Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari. The engine needs about 1 GB of memory, so older or low-memory phones may not manage it. A computer is the most reliable.
Can I convert password-protected files?
Not yet. Open the file in Word, Excel or PowerPoint, remove the password (File › Info › Protect), save a copy and convert that. To lock the PDF afterwards, use Protect PDF.
Why are my columns split across pages?
A sheet is printed on the paper size saved in the file. If it is wider than the page, the extra columns go onto another page, just like printing from Excel. Choose “Each sheet as one page” to get one page per sheet, sized to fit the whole sheet. If you print that page, a big sheet is scaled down to the paper, so set a print area in Excel if you only need part of it.
Are print areas and page settings used?
Yes. With “Use the file’s page setup”, the print areas, orientation, margins, scaling, headers and footers saved in the workbook are used, just like printing from Excel.
