Your files never leave your device.
Most PDF websites upload your document to their servers, process it there, and ask you to trust that they delete it. PDFToast works differently.
How it works
When you open a tool, your browser downloads the tool itself: PDF engines compiled to WebAssembly (qpdf, PDF.js, pdf-lib). Your file is then opened and processed by your own computer or phone. The result is created in your browser's memory and saved with the download button. No file data is sent to us or to anyone else.
Check it yourself in 30 seconds
- Open any tool, for example Compress PDF.
- Open your browser's developer tools (F12, or right-click → Inspect) and go to the Network tab.
- Add a PDF and process it. You will see the tool's own files load, but no request carrying your document.
- Even simpler: load the tool, turn off Wi-Fi, and use it. It still works.
What we do store
Nothing about your documents. Our host (Vercel) keeps standard server logs, such as IP address and pages requested, for security. If you hand a file from the home page to a tool, it is kept in your own browser storage for a moment and deleted as soon as the tool opens it.
