Questions
Which favicon sizes do I need?
A favicon.ico (with 16, 32 and 48 px inside) for browsers and search results, a 180 px Apple touch icon for iPhones, and 192 and 512 px icons for Android and installable web apps. The ZIP has all of them.
Does Google use my favicon in search results?
Google shows a favicon next to your result if it is a multiple of 48 px square and your home page links to it. Our favicon.ico includes 48 px, and the 192 and 512 px PNGs work too.
Can I use an SVG logo?
Yes. Drop the SVG; we render it sharply at every size.
Do you upload my files?
No. The tool runs inside your browser using WebAssembly. Your file never leaves your device, and it still works with Wi-Fi turned off.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. It works in Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox on Android, iPhone, Windows, Mac and Linux.
