What are the UK passport photo rules?
35×45 mm printed, with the head 29–34 mm from chin to crown, on a plain light grey or cream background. Digital photos must be at least 600×750 px and 50 KB to 10 MB. We make a 700×900 px JPG over 50 KB.
Is my photo uploaded?
No. Face detection and background removal run in your browser. Your photo stays on your device.
Will it be accepted?
We follow the published size and framing rules, but acceptance also depends on light, expression, glasses and how recent the photo is. Always check the current official rules before you apply.
