Questions

Is it free to annotate a PDF?

Yes. It is free with no sign-up and no watermark. The free plan covers up to 50 tasks a day; Pro removes every limit.

Do you upload my files?

No. The tool runs inside your browser using WebAssembly. Your file never leaves your device, and it still works with Wi-Fi turned off.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. It works in Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox on Android, iPhone, Windows, Mac and Linux.

Will my comments show in Adobe Reader?

Yes. Highlights, notes and shapes are saved as standard PDF annotations, so Adobe Reader, Chrome, Edge, Preview and most phone apps show them, and people can reply to or delete them.

Can I highlight a scanned PDF?

A scan has no text to snap to. Use the Box tool to mark areas, or run OCR PDF first to make the text selectable.
