Questions
Is it free to edit PDF bookmarks?
Yes. It is free with no sign-up and no watermark. The free plan covers up to 50 tasks a day; Pro removes every limit.
Do you upload my files?
No. The tool runs inside your browser using WebAssembly. Your file never leaves your device, and it still works with Wi-Fi turned off.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. It works in Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox on Android, iPhone, Windows, Mac and Linux.
Where do I see the bookmarks?
In the side panel of your PDF reader: the Bookmarks tab in Adobe Reader, the outline button in Chrome and Edge, and the Table of Contents view in Preview. We set the PDF to open with that panel showing.
Can I split the PDF by its bookmarks afterwards?
Yes. Split PDF by bookmarks makes one file per chapter, named after each bookmark.
