Questions
Is it free to linearize a PDF?
Yes. It is free with no sign-up and no watermark. The free plan covers up to 50 tasks a day; Pro removes every limit.
Do you upload my files?
No. The tool runs inside your browser using WebAssembly. Your file never leaves your device, and it still works with Wi-Fi turned off.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. It works in Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox on Android, iPhone, Windows, Mac and Linux.
Will it make my PDF smaller?
Sometimes a little, because streams are recompressed losslessly at the same time. To make it much smaller, use Compress PDF first, then linearize.
Does it work for files sent by email?
Fast web view helps when a PDF is opened from a web server that supports byte ranges, which most do. An email attachment is downloaded whole, so it does not open faster, but nothing breaks.
